Theme: Feminine Empowerment

We're looking for work that reflects the legacy and spirit of the Harlem Renaissance through themes of:

  • A tribute to the power women carry—in body, spirit, and community. These works celebrate the grit and grace it takes to rise, to rebuild, and to lead.

  • Art that honors liberation in all its forms—movement, expression, and identity. These pieces reflect the struggle and joy of breaking barriers and reclaiming space.

  • She’s no longer in the shadows. These pieces elevate the narratives, faces, and stories of women who have long been overlooked, making the unseen boldly seen.

  • The strength to bend but not break. These works capture the quiet courage, relentless hope, and enduring spirit of women who rise despite the weight they carry. From personal battles to systemic barriers, these pieces reflect the unyielding resolve to keep moving forward — no matter the storm.

  • A rich tapestry of style, sound, and story. This section explores how art, heritage, and lived experience shape the ever-evolving journey of women of color.
